THE PLANTERRA CONSERVATORY: A BOTANICAL SANCTUARY FOR ELEVATED CELEBRATIONS

With over 50 years of expertise from Planterra Interior Landscaping, the Conservatory is the embodiment of refined natural beauty and timeless design. We believe deeply in the restorative power of nature—its ability to bring serenity and balance amidst the rush of modern life. Our glass-enclosed venue is a lush, light-filled haven: soaring ceilings, tranquil koi ponds, vertical gardens, and vibrant, curated greenery create a setting that is both elegant and enchanting.

Your guests will dine and dance beneath a canopy of trees, under twinkling lights, and with the stars above— where every detail is designed to feel effortlessly magical.

While we are a venue, we are also a full-service team of designers, stylists, culinary artisans, and event experts. From florals and bespoke décor to signature cocktails, valet service, and ceremony management, we curate every element with precision and artistry. Our process is seamless, allowing you to stay present, stress-free, and fully immersed in each moment.

It’s a privilege to be entrusted with your celebration, and we are honored to collaborate with you in crafting a day that feels as unforgettable as it is beautiful—for you, your family, and every guest.

Warmest,

David L. Di Vincenzo Vice President and Creative Director

Planterra Conservatory

In 1973, Planterra was born

The company first began operating out of a private greenhouse in Bloomfield Hills on the former estate grounds of the Sander’s family, of Detroit’s storied Sander’s Chocolates.

As Planterra grew into larger greenhouses over the decades, the company had a role in providing tropical foliage for famous Detroit area developments such as the Detroit Renaissance Center, the Somerset Collection in Troy, and more recently, the Shinola Hotel in downtown Detroit.

In 2010, opened the Conservatory

Planterra opened the Conservatory in West Bloomfield, Michigan. From here, they expanded the nature-centric philosophy into weddings and events.

Named as one of the “Best Venues in America” by Brides Magazine and one of the “22 Best Garden and Wedding Venues in the World” by Harper’s Bazaar, Planterra has built a reputation nationally and in Michigan as a premier garden venue for weddings and events.

 Our Dedication to Sustainability

Imported from Izegem, Belgium, Planterra Conservatory is a glass-enclosed botanical venue with European trusses, indoor koi ponds, and a dramatic gabian.

The Conservatory was built and designed with sustainable features. These include recycling run-off water for irrigation, earth-integrated site orientation for energy efficiency, passive solar for winter heating, and a stacked ventilation system for natural cooling and air circulation. All of these features are regulated by an on-site weather station.
